Muscle ease, antiseptic and clearing. Great as a steam inhalation to clear blocked nasal passages. Melaleuca leucadendron cajaputi Oil is the volatile oil obtained by steam distillation from the fresh leaves of the plant Melaleuca leucadendron L variety cajaputi, Myrtaceae.

Cajeput is best known as an inhalation for colds and other respiratory infections, and is used in a number of proprietory cold treatments. Used in steam inhalations it effectively clears the nasal passages while inhibiting the bacteria that proliferate in the mucus formed during colds and flu, and which can lead to catarrh and sinusitis.



Melaleuca leucadendron cajaputi

Cajeput Essential Oil is a lovely oil to use in the colder weather as it produces a wonderful warming sensation when applied via massage to the skin.

It’s also a great way to clear a stuffy nose when used in a steam inhalation and also inhibits the bacteria in the mucus formed during colds and flu helping to slow down or halt the development cattarh and sinusitis. It can also be be vaporised to help clear any airborne germs.

Cajeput is said to help improve your mood, increase your ability to focus and help build resistance to infection.
You may also find it helpful in treating an itchy scalp and oily skin. Traditionally used for its antiseptic, deodorant and insect repellent properties.

Steam distillation of the fresh leaves and twigs. Camphoraceous medicinal odour. A milder fragrance compared to Eucalyptus with a more fruity note.
