Eucalyptus Radiata 10ml

Antiseptic, expectorant and antispasmodic. Eucalyptus Radiata is a more gentle form of Eucalyptus and therefore the only variant suitable for use with children. Eucalyptus radiata Leaf Oil is the volatile oil obtained from the leaves of Eucalyptus, Eucalyptus radiata, Myrtaceae.

Although Eucalyptus globulus is the most widely used variety, a less well known species, Eucalyptus Radiata, is a better choise for use in aromatherapy, as it has all the properties of the former, but a more pleasant aroma than the common Eucalyptus, is more easily assimilated, and less likely to irritate the skin.

Eucalyptus Radiata

Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil is perhaps the finest of the Eucalyptus oil family. It’s cineole content is high enough for therapeutic use but low enough to make it gentle enough for use with children.

When burned or vaporised Eucalyptus Radiata can help to protect against colds and flu as well as relieving the symptoms once a virus has taken hold. It can also help to relieve frequent sneezing, help with hay fever and respiratory problems. It may also help in improving concentration. In massage or diluted in the bath it can be helpful against muscle and joint pain, rheumatism, colds, flu, mucous congestion, sinusitis and catarrh. In a cream or lotion it may speed up the healing of ulcers and wounds, help with acne and other skin eruptions and clear congested skin. Very well diluted Eucalyptus Radiata can also be added to a gargle for sore throats.

Oil extracted by steam from fresh or partially dried leaves and young twigs. Sweeter and less harsh than Eucalyptus globulus. A crisp, clean cineole aroma lifted by citrus/floral backnotes.
Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
