Pine essential oil is thought to be a useful hair tonic and is a good air antiseptic. Pine can also be used as a steam inhalant to clear the airways. Pine should always be used well diluted when applied to the skin. Perhaps best used in a carrier oil or by adding just a couple of drops to your bath when it may help alleviate the symptoms of asthma, sinusitis, colds and coughs. It can encourage cellulite to diminish and help in cases of rheumatism. You may even find it helps to overcome hangovers!

Pine has a stimulating affect on the circulation, and is sometimes used to relieve the pain of rheumatism and arthritis, as well as muscular aches and pains from over-exertion. If you want to use this oil for massage, blend it and use in small proportions well diluted as higher concentrations could cause skin irritation in some people

Obtained by steam distillation of the fir needles it has a fresh resinous aroma.
Anti-viral, bactericidal, disinfectant, deodorant, expectorant, vermifuge.
